# Gen-1 Rewards

### Overview

Gen-1 Monstas are the **next evolution** of the Monsta Party collection — a reward unlocked only by dedicated Gen-0 holders who reach **10,000 PXP**. These NFTs are non-mintable outside of gameplay progression and offer distinct benefits within the ecosystem.

### Free Tournament Access

Gen-1 Monstas receive **free entry to all Monsta Arcade tournaments**, giving them a competitive advantage:

* While Gen-0s must pay a small one-time entry fee per tournament, **Gen-1s play for free**.
* To join, Gen-1s still need to have been **fed within the last 12 hours**, just like Gen-0s.
* This makes Gen-1 NFTs ideal for players who want to **grind PXP and win BNB** without entry costs.

### PXP Earning for Future Utility

Gen-1 NFTs still **accumulate PXP** through feeding and arcade participation, and while that PXP doesn’t currently unlock additional features, it is **being tracked for future use**.

Originally, PXP earned by Gen-1s was going to be redeemable for **real-world Monsta merchandise** — like an arcade prize counter. Due to logistical challenges, crypto/tax complexity, and limited dev resources, that redemption model is currently on pause.

We are instead exploring **on-chain alternatives** such as a exclusive **Gen-1 reward pool**

### Community-Led Development

Gen-1 NFTs were born from **player effort**, and their utility will continue to reflect that. As a primarily community-led project, we’re building smart, lean, and iteratively — guided by the creativity and involvement of our holders.
