# Getting Started

Welcome to Based Monsta, where gains meet chaos. If you’re ready to dive in and start stacking, here’s how to get started.

### **Step 1: Set Up Your Wallet**

You need a wallet that supports **Base Chain**. Popular options include:

* **MetaMask** – The OG. Configure it for Base Chain.
* **WalletConnect** – Multi‑platform and easy.
* **Trust Wallet** – Mobile‑friendly and straightforward.

To add Base Chain in MetaMask:

1. Open MetaMask and go to *Settings → Networks → Add Network*.
2. Input the Base Chain RPC parameters (see official docs).
3. Save and you’re ready to roll.

### **Step 2: Get $MONSTA Tokens**

1. Visit Uniswap (direct link: <https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap?outputCurrency=0xf5C83eA805e5aeFf5De24C7Da23eF246C2BF8Ec7&chain=base>).
2. Connect your wallet.
3. Swap ETH or another token for $MONSTA.
4. Boom – welcome to the Based Monsta ecosystem.

### **Step 3: Engage with the Vaults**

There are two ways to play the vault game:

* [**Primary Vault**](https://docs.monstacorp.com/based-monsta/rewards/vault-system/primary-vault) **(every cycle)** – Hodl your $MONSTA throughout the 12‑month cycle. At cycle end you can burn your tokens to claim your share of the vault. If you’d rather ride into the next cycle, just hold your tokens and your unclaimed share rolls forward.
* [**Bonus Vault**](https://docs.monstacorp.com/based-monsta/rewards/vault-system/bonus-vault-c1-only) **(Cycle 1 only)** – During Cycle 1 you can collect the **Vault Key NFTs**. Mint one Key each month (12 total) to complete a set. At the Cycle 1 snapshot (8 Jan 2026), wallets holding a full set automatically receive their share of the C1 Bonus Vault via airdrop. **No new Keys will be minted after Cycle 1**, and there will be **no Bonus Vault** in Cycle 2+.

### **Step 5: Stay Based**

Stack your $MONSTA, grind for Keys during Cycle 1, and get ready to burn and claim like a pro. From Cycle 2 onward, simply decide each cycle whether to burn for your claim or ride the compounding vault. Follow official channels for snapshot and claim‑window announcements.&#x20;
